Faith Formation (CCD) 2020-2021

****Changes to our Faith Formation Programs****

 We understand that there are so many unknowns for many of you regarding school and work. Please know that we are praying for you. Because of the circumstances or Covid-19, we have had to make some changes to our program as well. This year, all classes will begin in October. Please check your email accounts frequently for updates. 

♦  Please register as soon as possible; materials need to be ordered by August 15, 2020.  If you have already sent in your registration using the forms given in March, there is no need to register again.

♦ First Communion Preparation will take place on Tuesdays at 4:30 and Wednesdays at 5:30. (Times may be subject to change.)

♦ Grades 1, and 3-8 will begin with an at-home catechesis program and, hopefully, return to their regular classes in January. We will guide you through this process. It’s a wonderful program that is very user friendly, will be able to be completed during the time you choose during the week that the lesson is sent out, and it can be done with any and all of your elementary aged children simultaneously. Also, we are looking into having some of the catechists teach the lessons via Zoom or some other virtual platform. 

♦ Grade 9 will meet on Monday evenings from 6:00-7:30.

♦ Grades 10 and 11 will meet on Sunday evenings following the 5:00 Mass from 6:00-7:30.

We are excited about our Confirmation preparation program entitled, CHOSEN, here at St. Edmond.

• Grade 9 is a remote preparation for the reception of Confirmation in the 11^th grade and cannot be skipped.
• Grades 10 and 11 are the direct preparation for the reception of Confirmation.

It is a two year program beginning with the 10th graders. It is a special program of classes and events that serve as “immediate preparation” for the reception of Confirmation.

The 10th grade formation is under the direction of Mrs. Terri Frederick and her team members and the eleventh grade formation is under the direction of Mr. Clark Alderman and his team members.
